Riding a motorcycle is both fun and fuel efficient. However, it may come as no surprise to learn that motorcycle riders are 30 times more likely to die in a crash than someone in a car, says the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Especially for riders over the age of 60, they are three times more likely to suffer serious injury after a crash as opposed to their younger counterparts. Therefore, it’s important to understand the safety risks involved with owning and riding a motorcycle. However, many riders enjoy their motorcycles without any injuries.
